La Rinconada approved the La Rinconada 2030 Urban Agenda Action Plan in plenary session on September 9, 2022. This plan was drafted using the methodology designed by the Spanish Urban Agenda, as established by Order TMA/957/2021 and within the general framework of international urban agendas. The main objective of this plan is to promote a sustainable urban development that is also environmentally responsible, socially cohesive, and economically competitive.

The implementation of this strategy is essential to facilitate a green, digital, and socially inclusive transition, encompassing a wide arrange of areas and following a holistic, integrative approach. The integrated planning has been carried out not only as a way to respond to local needs, but also as part of a series of strategic objectives that aim to improve the quality of life of our citizens.

This action is being developed in parallel with other local initiatives, ensuring consistency across all areas of government and public policies. It also aligns with international commitments, such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the United Nations’ New Urban Agenda, and the Urban Agenda for the EU, reinforcing La Rinconada’s commitment to a sustainable and prosperous future.
