Component 22 aims to strengthen public policies focused on social inclusion and care systems. This component funds initiatives meant to improve care systems for dependent people, disabled people, or people at risk of social exclusion. Another objective is to expand social services to foster a more community and proximity based model centered around people.
It also promotes active inclusion and employability programs for vulnerable groups, which leads to more equality in terms of opportunities and access to the job market, especially for women, young people, and people in vulnerable situations. In municipalities like La Rinconada, the C22 allows for the development of projects that reinforce the network of social services, encourage personal autonomy, and improve citizens’ quality of life in terms of social justice and sustainable development.
