Strategic Plan 2: Smart Operations

Strategic Plan 2: Smart Operations

The Strategic Plan 2: Smart Operations is focused on improving the quality, quantity and efficiency of public administration management and processing services. This includes the deployment of four new e-offices, with the goal of reducing processing times and significantly improving the services provided to our citizens while complying with the highest regulatory standards.

This modernization effort involves a simplification and deep redefinition of internal processes and procedures in order to make management more efficient by integrating these new processes across the common General State Administration services. Ultimately, these actions are meant to help make public administrations more streamlined, more efficient and more focused on the needs of our citizens. The new e-office in particular will benefit them directly, as they will allow for paperwork and other procedures to be processed more swiftly.

The City Council has promoted this technological modernization project with the goal of deploying a new e-office platform designed with citizens in mind, as it is simpler, more accessible and compatible with any mobile device. This new platform allows citizens to interact with the services the City Council offers in a completely online manner: obtaining information about procedures, digital processing, making appointments, reading notifications stored in their digital mailbox, or checking the status of their files via the Citizen Folder. The e-office is also a channel through which the City Council can spread information using the bulletin board or the Transparency Portal, in accordance with the law. This initiative reflects our commitment to modernization and to adapt to our citizens’ current needs by offering an e-office platform that is more accessible and easier to use.

We are convinced that this transformation will be beneficial to our citizens, as it will allow them to interact more easily and efficiently with the Public Administration, and even more so now that they can do it through their mobile devices. This update has been possible thanks to the NextGenerationEU funds, which have covered the whole budget of €160,447. It is worth noting that the VAT amount—€27,846.17 in total—has been fully funded by NextGenerationEU as well.
